Jonathan at Honest-1 Auto Care was very helpful. Not only did I get an appointment with them right away, but they hopefully helped me to save a lot of money. Here's what happened: I took my car in to my regular people to get an ac recharge done. They did not recharge my ac but told me I needed a new ac compressor. I found that hard to believe as I have a newer car in terms of mileage and it only being 4 1/2 yrs old. So I did a search online for a different place to get a 2nd opinion and found Honest-1. They gave me a free ac check and then said my freon was really low. They conducted a revac (may have spelled that wrong) and put dye in the freon and told me to come back in a week so they can check to see if there is truly a leak. My car is blowing cool air perfectly thus far and I do go back in 6 days as part of the service I paid for with them. I even heard Jonathan and the other mechanic talking and all I heard was the freon level was really low. The service I received was much better than my other place and I am thinking of switching to them for my oil changes as well. I may have a follow-up review when I go back but so far so good.

It started more as a 2. I went in for a full suspension overhaul. Front and Back. After leaving, there was an unfortunate clunk that kept happening in the rear right. I returned and they discovered they had left a wrench in the suspension..... grrr. Thinking everything was fine I went on my way. I did a little shopping and put stuff in the trunk. It did weigh more than 40 pond and the rear end dang near bottomed out..... double grr.... I returned AGAIN. We all agreed that the they had installed the wrong springs in the back...WHAT??? I finally arranged another time to return to them so they could fix the issue.... All that being said, they were upfront, honest, fix their problems and now my car rides like new. Looks like I'll go back to stop my oil leak.

Came in for an air condition check for an hour, the front desk gentlemen and the technician were very friendly and thorough with explaining what exactly was going on with a great recommendation to an auto part shop that were selling the parts I needed. Great experience and would highly recommend.

Summary : PLEASE DO NOT go by google ratings. The google ratings may look good but be sure to check all the recent negative reviews too. The air conditioning in my car was not working at all. I had already been told by the Ford service center that there is a leak in the evaporator. I just wanted a second opinion. When I called the Honest-1 guys, they offered me a free AC check. So here at Honest-1 they said there is no Freon in the AC and suggested a Freon refill followed by a dye check (costed me 148$, I was told this is 29$ and none told me about the 100$ labor costs until the work is done), and was asked to come after a week. After a week they said, there are not enough miles on the car for the dye to circulate, so give some more time and come back. I went back again after a couple of weeks (3rd visit), I was told there is no problem with the AC, everything is perfect, the car is Black in color and the summer heat is on, it really blows cold air and is cooler than his car!! Come on!. I asked so is it normal that we run out of Freon, and he said - NO. Then how do you explain the complete absence of Freon during my first visit? There was no satisfactory answer. Then I told that someone else had already discovered an AC leak, then he goes on- did you tell this to anyone here?!! LOL. So seriously, would that have made any difference in your diagnosis? Do you want me to tell you what is wrong with my car and pay you at the same time? Finally he changed his version slightly that there maybe a very minor leak and it is hard to detect. In fact I had already told them about this in my first visit, Clearly none was paying attention to what I was saying and none seemed to bother about customer service. There is a big difference between assuring someone that there is no leak in your car AC versus telling that there may be a leak, but we are not sure/do not have the ability to detect it. The experience does not match with the name for sure. Good luck!
