Summary : PLEASE DO NOT go by google ratings. The google ratings may look good but be sure to check all the recent negative reviews too. The air conditioning in my car was not working at all. I had already been told by the Ford service center that there is a leak in the evaporator. I just wanted a second opinion. When I called the Honest-1 guys, they offered me a free AC check. So here at Honest-1 they said there is no Freon in the AC and suggested a Freon refill followed by a dye check (costed me 148$, I was told this is 29$ and none told me about the 100$ labor costs until the work is done), and was asked to come after a week. After a week they said, there are not enough miles on the car for the dye to circulate, so give some more time and come back. I went back again after a couple of weeks (3rd visit), I was told there is no problem with the AC, everything is perfect, the car is Black in color and the summer heat is on, it really blows cold air and is cooler than his car!! Come on!. I asked so is it normal that we run out of Freon, and he said - NO. Then how do you explain the complete absence of Freon during my first visit? There was no satisfactory answer. Then I told that someone else had already discovered an AC leak, then he goes on- did you tell this to anyone here?!! LOL. So seriously, would that have made any difference in your diagnosis? Do you want me to tell you what is wrong with my car and pay you at the same time? Finally he changed his version slightly that there maybe a very minor leak and it is hard to detect. In fact I had already told them about this in my first visit, Clearly none was paying attention to what I was saying and none seemed to bother about customer service. There is a big difference between assuring someone that there is no leak in your car AC versus telling that there may be a leak, but we are not sure/do not have the ability to detect it. The experience does not match with the name for sure. Good luck!
